In Memoriam
Harry Frank Scolinos
September 27, 1944 – January 7, 2022

Harry attended San Gabriel public schools, graduating from San Gabriel High in 1962. After high school, Harry continued his education at Cal Poly Pomona where he also served as student body Vice-President, receiving his B.S. degree in Social Science in 1966. After graduation, Harry enlisted in the U.S. Army.

Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1970, Harry enrolled in Beverly Law School (now Whittier Law School) and took classes at night while working full-time for the Automobile Club during the day. Harry passed the California State Bar in 1974 and began practicing law in Los Angeles.

Harry formed his own law firm and established an office in Pasadena in 1980. His reputation grew and he was well-liked by both colleagues and judges. Throughout his career, he was known for being ethical, having integrity and being compassionate with his clients. The practice grew and Harry brought on two additional partners, Dan Sheldon and Todd Nevell, establishing the Scolinos, Sheldon and Nevell Law Firm, which is still in existence today.

Although there were many awards and achievements in his life, Harry’s pride and joy were his wife Connie, their five children and spouses, his 16 grandchildren, as well as his close family and friends. His love for God and others is truly what propelled him in life. They were his greatest treasures.

Harry passed on January 7, 2022, after a long, courageous battle with PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy), a disease that was directly caused by his exposure to the chemical, Agent Orange, in Vietnam. Although the disease had a devastating impact on his body, he was able to remain positive and keep his sense of humor. His character was etched with humility, gentleness and faith. He lived a full, abundant life and loved generously.
